Just back from the VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art & the George Bernard Shaw Theatre, in Carlow.
Very interesting indeed (my first time).
The large scale painted figure on the gallery's entrance (here in the pic) is by Sean Henry
Catafalque Edition 1/4, Bronze, All weather paint, cor-ten steel (detail).
Henry's work can be seen alongside the works of William Crozier, Welsh painter Shani Rhys James (may favourite), Cliodhna Cussen, Catherine E. Greene, Eileen MacDonagh and other artists as part of the Carlow Arts Festival.
