To fade out there is a volume track, go up to show master track and a track will appear along the bottom. Click on the line to create fade in and out parts then move the dot up to increase volume ( for a fade in ) and down (for a fade out).
I've migrated to logic express, but it is a case of too many options like compressors and limiters which 'limit' my output.
